SOCCER: Bury have received some cash relief following the sale of former striker David Johnson from Ipswich to Nottingham Forest in a reported £3m deal.

The Shakers have a sell on clause of 25 per cent on the 24-year-old which should net the cash-strapped club £500,000.

Bury are also expecting another injection of cash on Tuesday when Accrington Stanley play a fund-raising game for the Shakers at the Crown Ground.

Shakers Chairman Terry Robinson has also ensured that similar windfalls will occur should any of former Second Division Championship side players -- Dean Kiely, Michael Jackson, Chris Lucketti or Paul Butler -- move on to other clubs. All four have been linked with big money moves in recent months.
