ST HELENS Council has launched an appeal for more Lollipop men and women for school crossing patrols.
Four areas in which staff are particularly needed are Elephant Lane, Sutton Heath Road and Marshalls Cross Road and two new sites at the Hurst School, Hard Lane and outside Sutton Oak School.
Wages are £4.77 an hour and all you need to do is pass a basic medical and induction. Training and full uniform will be provided.
The council is also trying to establish a 'casual list' including the names of people who would be able to provide cover as and when necessary.
