FORMER Bolton keeper Dave Felgate has emerged as a shock contender for the vacant manager's job at Ramsbottom United.
The 43-year-old former Welsh international is thought to be interested in succeeding Andy Grimshaw who resigned from his post at the Riverside on Saturday night.
Felgate boasts a wealth of experience having made over 700 appearances in the Football League with Wanderers and Lincoln City.
More recently, he has played for both Leigh RMI and Radcliffe Borough but he now wants to pursue a career in management.
Former Chorley boss Mark Molyneaux is another name in the frame but current caretaker Ged Walsh staked his own claim last night as the Rams beat Trafford 3-0.
Glyn Barker fired the Rams into an early lead then a Mark Drew own goal and a Jordan Rispin header completed the rout.
