FOOTBALLERS' wives celebrated victory with their loved ones -- but said it was really a victory for benefactor, the late Jack Walker.
Partners and children of Rovers players watched from a special box in the stadium and cracked open the bubbly on the full time whistle.
Captain's wife Karen Flitcroft: "It was great game even though I was disappointed Garry wasn't playing.
"The boys did really well and did themselves proud. But they really did it for Jack."
Vicki Taylor, wife of defender Martin 'Tiny' Taylor added: "It was a really good game even if it was a bit nerve-racking in places. The boys all played really well and were a better team on the day.
"I predicted they would win 2-1 before the game. I wish I'd stuck a bet on now!
"The team did it in Jack's memory. The only disappointment was that Jack was not there.
"We all know how much Blackburn meant to him. He would have been the proudest man in Blackburn today."
