POPPIES will be worn, memories will be stirred and gratitude will be given when Radcliffe reflects on the bravery of its townsfolk on Remembrance Sunday.
The sombre occasion will see the parade of veterans, descendants and representatives of uniformed organisations assembling at the Royal British Legion in Water Street from 10am onwards, before setting off for the cenotaph shortly before 11am
Following the wreath laying and two minutes' silence, the parade will make its way to St Thomas and St John's Church where a service will be held from 11.30am to 12.30pm.
METROLINK: Services will be suspended at St Peter's Square in Manchester, near the Cenotaph, between 10am and 12.15pm because of the city's Remembrance Day Parade. Replacement bus services between G-Mex and Piccadilly Gardens will operate during that period.
Tram drivers who are travelling on alternative routes may observe the minute's silence if they are halted at a particular station at 11am.
