A MAN trying to lure a 13-year-old girl into a Blackburn park was scared off by a passer-by.
The girl was approached by a man in West Park Road, who struck up a conversation with her, but then grabbed her upper arms and tried to coax her into Corporation Park.
However, the man, described as Asian, aged between 18 and 20, and wearing glasses, was disturbed when a member of the public shouted across. He ran off into the park.
Police have only just released details of the incident, on Wednesday, February 3, between 7pm and 7.30pm.
Blackburn CID assistant investigator Jessica Furnell said: “We are particularly keen to speak to the man who shouted across the road and I appeal to him to come forward.”
