ACCRINGTON Pipe Band marched through Sunnyhurst Wood, Darwen, to start the events at the yesterday’s family gala.
Over 30 different activities such as face painting, a badger display, an eight-category gun show, a balloon release and a children’s painting competition, were officially opened by Mayor Coun Mohammed Khan.
It is thought that up to 5,000 people visited. The Friends of Sunnyhurst Wood paid for the gala this year after changes to funding.
