MUSIC lovers are in for a real treat after an East Lancashire college announced a performance by the renowned Westminster Cathedral Choir.

The renowned choir will give a concert at Stonyhurst College, near Clitheroe, on December 1, and the performance will be in St. Peter’s Church.

A Stonyhurst College spokesman said: “Westminster Cathedral Choir is widely considered to be one of the finest choirs in the world and has built up a formidable reputation as one of the most exciting recording groups of its kind.”

The choir has appeared at many top classical festivals including Aldeburgh, Salzburg, Copenhagen, Bremen and Spitalfields. It has also appeared in many of the major concert halls of Britain, including the Royal Festival Hall, the Wigmore Hall and the Royal Albert Hall. The Cathedral Choir also broadcasts frequently on radio and television.
