A venue in the heart of the Ribble Valley which has two AA rosettes could be the perfect spot to spend Valentine's Day with a loved one this year.

With a Valentine’s Day package on offer, guests at The Coach and Horses in Bolton-by-Bowland can enjoy a bed and breakfast stay and a specially selected tasting menu, for a delightfully romantic evening.

The Valentine’s Day tasting menu, specially crafted by head chef Ian Moss, will begin with a crispy oyster beignet amuse bouche, paired with a brut curvee.

Followed by a goat’s cheese, mushroom and leek tart truffle starter and a glass of German Riesling.

To finish, diners can indulge in a chocolate and blood orange fondant with Cointreau ice cream, paired with an espresso or French martini desert cocktail.

The tasting menu will have one sitting, starting at 7.30pm and wine pairing is optional, at an extra £45 per person.

Guests can spend the night in one of seven distinctive and beautifully decorated bedrooms in the historic building, situated right in the heart of the Ribble Valley.

Room prices start from £245 and include bed and breakfast and the Valentine’s tasting menu for two.
