Cricketing stars of the future got the chance to show off their talents at a historic club recently.

An Under 11s tournament at East Lancs Cricket Club in Blackburn featured 12 teams from across Blackburn, Accrington and Ramsbottom.

Teams were made up of both boys and girls with each side batting for six overs. 

Tissuewholesaler.com overcame the odds to win against Bank View Solicitors in a thrilling final.

Organiser Farook Azam said: “It was a great day for all the children and some really great cricket was played.

“We would like to thank all the parent volunteers who helped out and the teams for helping to make the event a success.

"Thank you to Mohammed Patel and Zeeshan Malik who cooked up some great burgers for everyone."

Organisers wish to thanks to BB Catering for donating the food and Yaseen Halal Meats of Accrington who donated the trophies.
