Firefighters were called to battle a waste fire in Lancaster last night.
At around 9.05pm yesterday (August 8), four fire engines from Lancaster, Morecambe, Bolton-le-Sands attended a fire in the open.
The incident was located on Quernmore Road in Lancaster and involved 10x15m of waste in the open.
Firefighters used two 45mm jets and a hose reel to extinguish the blaze.
They were at the scene for two and a half hours.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: “At 9.06pm on August 8, four fire engines from Lancaster, Morecambe, Bolton-le-Sands attended a fire in the open on Quernmore Road, Lancaster.
“The incident involved 10x15m of waste in the open. Firefighters used two 45mm jets and a hose reel to extinguish the fire.
“They were in attendance for approximately two and a half hours.”
