A majorettes group based in Accrington has opened up their team to welcome new and old members to join them to make friends and learn new skills.

The Hyndburn Comets Majorettes are now recruiting for their next dance season hoping to welcome girl’s boy and adults to join their family.

Sara Britcliffe, MP for the borough, said she was once a part of the Hyndburn Comets, and she highly recommends people take part.

She said: “As somebody who was part of Hyndburn Comets for over 12 years, I would highly recommend joining and learning new skills, and the first session is completely free!

“It was amazing to be part of this dancing family for so long and I made lifelong friends along the way.”
