FOOTBALL fans have helped a TV director's bid to create the most kicked football.
Accrington Stanley supporters turned out in their droves to take part in Blake McGrow's charity challenge at the Fraser Eagle Stadium today.
Blake, 40, a freelance TV director, is originally of Barnoldswick but has lived in London for 12 years.
He aims to raise thousands of pounds for charity as well as make history by having 100,000 people kick his football.
He said: "It went really well. We had between 130 and 200 kicks.
"Loads of fans got involved and the whole squad formed a line and kicked the ball to each other.
"It was really good. This was the first football match we've done."
Blake said turning 40 motivated him to begin the Most Kicked Ball (MKB) challenge.
He said: "I recalled the story of British and German soldiers and how they stopped shooting each other on Christmas Eve to have a game of football.
"It seems the only time the world unites is over a ball."
Now Blake hopes to take MKB to all football league clubs, in aid of the Field of Dreams diabetes research.
