Firework house incident 'stupid'

A lit firework was put through a letter box in Brownlow Street, Blackburn, on Monday night.

The incident happened at about 7.45pm as the occupants of the house were sitting in the living room.

The hall filled with smoke and damage was caused to the UPVC front door and the carpet.

Nobody was injured, but fire officers branded the incident as "stupid".
