RIBBLE Valley MP Nigel Evans has hosted a group of A-level politics students from Stonyhurst College, who were visiting parliament for the day on Wednesday.

Mr Evans said: "It is always a pleasure to meet any of my constituents in parliament, but it is a particular pleasure to meet members of a younger generation who are just beginning to take an active interest in politics.

"I met with the pupils during their tour of parliament prior to them attending Prime Minister’s Questions.

"Speaking with them afterwards it was clear that the day had given them a fantastic insight into how the House of Commons works and one which will certainly help them with their forthcoming studies.

"I would encourage all local schools to come and visit parliament, and give their pupils the opportunity to enjoy the same experience as the pupils from Stonyhurst.”
