Pupils at Moorhead Sports College, Accrington, including (from left) Aneesah Rashid, Callum Slinger, and Faiza Ahmed, have been waxing lyrical as part of a poetry competition.

Year 7 youngsters wrote verses on a number of themes.

One of the commended entries was by Aneesah, called Happiness', which included the lines "Happiness is a feeling inside, that brings a smile on your face.

It is an expression that you show or hide, but you cannot put in a case."
