Hibernian ran out easy winners against their Premiership visitors in their penultimate warm-up game with a text-book display of finishing.

Steven Fletcher set Hibs on their way in the 28th minute with a clinical strike then second-half goals from David Murphy and Abdessalam Benjelloun settled matters.

The sizeable home support were impressed by what they saw as the hosts outplayed their tired English counterparts for long spells. They also had a first look at the new signing Thierry Gatheussi, although the Cameroon internationalist had little chance to make an impact as a second-half sub.

Bolton, on the back of a trip to Korea - they lost 1-0 in the final of the Peace Cup to the French champions Lyon - left out a host of household names including Nicolas Anelka, Ivan Campo, Kevin Nolan and Kevin Davies.

Hibs dominated the early stages and it was no surprise when they broke the deadlock in the 28th minute. Lewis Stevenson picked out Fletcher with a superb pass and the Scotland under-20 marksman sped away from his marker before drilling the ball low into the corner beyond Ian Walker.

Fletcher and Benjelloun created further openings before Bolton's Ricardo Vaz Te hit the crossbar five minutes before the break.

Clayton Donaldson took over from Fletcher at the break but Hibs remained on top and settled the contest with two goals in a five-minute spell.

Murphy finished coolly from 12 yards in the 77th minute after a neat one-two with Kevin McCann on the edge of the box, then Benjelloun struck a superb left-footed strike from 20 yards that gave Walker no chance.
