FOLLOWING an absence of one year, cattle carcases are returning to

this year's Royal Highland Show at Ingliston (June 23 to 26) -- with two

classes for steers and two for heifers, entries being divided by weight

into two approximately equal classes.

A substantial sponsorship from Scotch Premier Meat Ltd., strongly

supported by cash awards from various breed societies, will ensure a

worthwhile return to the successful carcase exhibitors.

The animals will be delivered to Scotch Premier Meat Ltd's abattoir at

Gorgie, Edinburgh, on June 21, and judging will take place in the

presence of the stewards on the following day.

The champion and reserve carcases in each section will be displayed

adjacent to the Scotch Premier Meat stand.
