A MAN jailed for assaulting his partner went to her house and assaulted her again within two weeks of his release from custody.

Blackburn magistrates heard Stephen Thomas Jonathan also assaulted a neighbour who tried to intervene and a 12-year-old girl.

Jonathan, 38, of Collins Drive, Accrington, pleaded guilty to assaulting Jennifer Reynolds, Kelly Hyatt and the girl, breaching a restraining order in favour of Jennifer Reynolds and resisting a police officer.

He was jailed for a period of 18 weeks.

Alex Mann, prosecuting, said Jonathan turned up at Miss Reynold’s home in Rishton and entered uninvited.

During the incident he pushed Miss Reynolds and grabbed her by the throat.

Miss Kelly was also punched when she tried to intervene in the incident.

Damian Pickup, defending, said Jonathan knew exactly where he would be going at the end of the court case.
