Heavy sleet falls on the A56
PEOPLE were treated for minor injuries after a car ended up on the wrong side of the A56 this morning.
The emergency services were called to the A56 near junction eight of the M65 after a Vauxhall Zafira crossed from the north-bound carriageway to the south.

Paramedics arrived on the scene shortly after 8.45am and treated the people involved for minor injuries.
One lane was blocked and caused traffic to queue back to the Rising Bridge roundabout.
Traffic is also moving slowly between junctions four and seven of the M65 and from the Whitebirk roundabout in Blackburn to the temporary traffic lights in Bottomgate.
