POLICE have released CCTV images of two men they would like to speak to after a student was robbed for his mobile phone in a park in Blackburn.

The incident took place around 12.30pm on October 23 when the victim, a 17-year-old boy, was walking through Corporation Park.

Officers said he was grabbed from behind by a man while a second offender demanded his phone.

The boy handed over his phone before the two offenders made off in the direction of Lilford Road.

The first man was described as Asian, around 20 and was wearing a grey hooded top with the hood up, a dark blue beanie hat, dark blue tracksuit bottoms with white stripes down the side and black trainers.

The second was also Asian, around 18 and was wearing a black hooded top with the hood up.

Det Const Ryan Waddington of Blackburn CID said: “I am particularly keen to speak to the two men pictured in CCTV images and would urge anyone who recognises them to contact us.
