FORMER Lancashire Telegraph reporter Tony Livesey and MP Andrew Stephenson were on hand to give insights into their varied callings for a Nelson and Colne College careers event.
Ex-BBC North West Tonight presenter Tony, who now works for Radio Five Live also joined speakers from Lancaster and Leeds universities and experts from Cancer Research UK, and healthcare and social work, at the Scotland Road campus.
More than 40 students from Colne Park High, Colne Primet Academy, Marsden Heights Community College, Unity College and West Craven High also attended the fledgling A Level Career Conference.
A Level student Greg Mott: "The conference was a really good opportunity to find out what it is like to study at university. I really enjoyed the chance to attend talks in subject areas I don't usually study as well as having the chance to find out more about career options for the future."
