A TRANSDEV bus driver has been cleared over an alleged incident in which a 76-year-old passenger was said to have suffered serious injury.
Roy Cropper, 64, had been alleged to have set off from a bus stop before the pensioner had chance to sit down, causing her to lose her balance and fall over.

The alleged incident was said to have taken place while he was at the wheel of a single decker vehicle on Padiham Road, Burnley, at its junction with Lockyer Avenue, on February 27.
Mr Cropper, of Ringstone Crescent, Nelson, had been accused of driving without due care and attention, had denied the allegation and was due to stand trial on Tuesday. But, the case against him was dismissed after the Crown offered no evidence at Pennine Magistrates Court.
Prosecutor Charlotte Crane said the 76-year-old was now resident in a care home and had assistance from the home and her immediate family.
The prosecutor said the woman was “not in any fit state” to be able to give evidence at trial and hers was the only evidence in respect of the case.
