EAST Lancashire’s singing sensation Reece Bibby wowed the judges and the audience at the X Factor live shows with his newly-named band Stereo Kicks.

The group of eight including the Accrington teen was told they had ‘something potentially very good’ by music mogul Simon Cowell after their performance of Katy Perry’s Roar.

Former Spice Girl Mel B also complimented the band on their harmonies.

Stereo Kicks asked fans to send in suggestions for their name after they were put together as a group during the auditions.

After their song, Reece Tweeted: “WOW!!! That was the best feeling ever. Just hope we can do that every week.

Love you all x”

The group even picked up a celebrity following, with David Walliams, star of Little Britain, praising the boys.

He joked on Twitter: “I liked Stereo Kicks on @TheXFactor but I worry there just aren’t enough members.”

But it was positive judges comments Stereo Kicks had been hoping for — and they were not left disappointed.

Simon said: “This is the second group we have seen. The first group was okay, but you just blew them off the stage.

“This is exciting for me because I am seeing something potentially very good here.”

Their mentor Louis Walsh added: “There is something special here and I think we have got the next big boy band.”

But Geordie pop princess Cheryl Fernandez-Versini criticised Louis for choosing two Katy Perry songs for two of his acts.

She added: “I think it is a bit overwhelming to have so many of you.

“It is different, but I think you could have done something better with the track.”
