A WELL-known comic has been lined up for a charity show in aid of the Mayor of Todmorden’s civic charities later this year.
Coun Michael Gill has secured the services of actor, comedian, singer and storyteller Bernard Wrigley for a show at the town’s Hippodrome Theatre on Saturday, November 1. Wrigley played Dodgy Eric in Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights, and was a sell-out performer last time he appeared at the Halifax Road venue.
He will be on stage from 7.30pm, with tickets going for £8.
Coun Gill has also lined up An Evening With Alan Godfrey, who will relate his life-changing experiences with a UFO, at the same theatre on Saturday, October 18.
Tickets for both nights can be booked through www.todhip.org or by calling the town’s information centre on 01706 818181.
