ROUNDERS fans across East Lancashire can enter a new weekly league.
A Sunday afternoon women’s-only league in Burnley, starting on October 26 and running until December 21, still has spaces available for teams, with matches from midday to 2pm.
There is also a mixed rounders league at Hameldon College on Monday evenings starting on October 13, with matches between 7pm and 8.30pm.
Janet Roundell, play development officer at Burnley Leisure, said: “Leagues have been established following the last year’s success.
“It’s such good fun and a great evening out. I would encourage anyone with fond memories of rounders at school to come and have a go.
“All you need to do is bring a group of friends together, form a team and get in the game. It’s as simple as that.”
