A PEDESTRIAN has died almost four weeks after colliding with a car.

Police said 69-year-old William Hart, from Clayton le Moors, received head and pelvic injuries after he was hit by a car near to the Albion Pub on Whalley Road in the town.

The incident happened around 10.15pm on Saturday, June 21 and involved a grey Ford Fiesta.

Police said Mr Hart died from his injuries at the Royal Blackburn Hospital on Wednesday.

Sgt Lee Campbell, of the Road Policing Unit, said: “This was a tragic incident and I would appeal for anyone who witnessed this collision or who has any information, and who has not yet spoken to police, to contact us.”
