A STAR-STUDDED list of guests enjoyed Burnley’s return to the Premier League at Turf Moor on Monday night.

Clarets fan Alastair Campbell took along British cycling boss Dave Brailsford and Matthew Barzun, the US ambassador, to watch the game.

Alastair, Tony Blair’s former spokesman, posted a picture on Twitter of Brailsford and Mr Barzun chatting in the lounges before the Clarets 3-1 defeat to Chelsea.

He said: “Interesting night so far at @burnleyofficial. Dave Brailsford teaching US ambassador Welsh in advance of NATO summit.”

The three men sat together to watch Scott Arfield give the Clarets an early lead before Chelsea hit back with three first-half goals.
