FORMER X-Factor finalist Janet Devlin will visit three East Lancashire towns as part of her winter tour.

The 19-year-old Northern Irish singer will perform at Christmas light switch-ons in Burnley, Darwen and Chorley in November.

Devlin rose to prominence in the eighth series of The X-Factor in 2011 when she finished in fifth place.

She will visit Chorley on November 15, Darwen on November 22 and Burnley on November 23.

The shows will form part of the teenager’s My Delirium tour, which she said ‘promises to be an intimate journey through the last 18 months with new album tracks sitting comfortably between firm favourites’.

She will follow up her East Lancashire shows with dates in Birmingham, Manchester, Liverpool, Newcastle and Glasgow.

During her stint on X-Factor, Devlin topped the public vote more than any other act, receiving the most public votes for the first four weeks of voting.

She has since released two studio albums, the most recent of which, Running With Scissors, reached number 18 in the official UK chart.

Devlin will release a new single, Creatures of the Night, in September.
