A multi award-winning motor group has appointed a new director to help drive the business to new heights.

Adam Turner is following in the footsteps of his father, Andy after stepping up to the position of business development director at the Chorley Group.

The 25-year-old, who has a Masters Degree in Financial Management, has played a key role in cementing the Chorley Group’s position as one of the leading motor groups in the north west over the last three years.

And after the company recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, manag-ing director and founder Andy Turner felt the time was right for Adam to join the board.

Andy said: "From the first moment I launched the Chorley Group, it was always my wish that Adam would join the business one day and take it to the next level.

“He grew up with the car trade in his blood and, after completing his studies at university I was thrilled when he decided he wanted to join the business.

“Over the last couple of years he has played a major role in helping the Chorley Group to grow, so he deserves this oppor-tunity to become a direc-tor. I'm proud to see him following in my footsteps and I’m excited about working with him to help drive the business forw-ards."

Adam said: "Being appointed to the board so early in my career is a really proud moment. I have seen the business go from strength to strength and if I can achieve half of what my father has achieved in his career I will be thrilled.

The group has grown into a multi-franchise group with a turnover in excess of £100million over the last 25 years. The company has Nissan, Kia, Hyundai and Fiat franchises in Chorley and Burnley and employs 200 people.
