A TEENAGER was taken to hospital after falling off his bicycle in Darwen earlier today.
The 14-year-old boy was injured after an accident in bad weather near the Punch Bowl Inn on the corner of Roman Road and Pot House Lane, at 10.10am.
Duty Inspector Conrad Tapp, from Lancshire police, said the boy was taken to Royal Blackburn Hospital.
He added: “His auntie was with him but he was found lying in a puddle and was freezing cold.
“He crashed into a lamp post after the brake cables on his bike failed.”
The nature of the boy’s injuries are unknown.
