MERSEYSIDE Police are appealing for the public’s help to trace a missing 4-year-old boy from the Southport area.

Suren Stepans was last seen on Merseyside with his parents at his home address on Bridge Street on Sunday, 29 June and has subsequently been reported as missing to police.

Officers understand Suren was seen at an address in Blackburn, Lancashire, on Friday, 18 July but since then he hasn't been seen.

Suren is still believed to be with his father and mother, Arturs Brezovskis and Maruta Stephans.

Officers and social services are becoming increasingly concerned for Suren’s welfare and are urging people with information about his whereabouts, or those of his parents, to get in touch.

Suren is described as white, about 3ft 6in tall, of a slight build and with an olive complexion. He has short dark brown straight hair and brown eyes. Suren does not speak English but does speak a limited amount of Latvian.

Suren is believed to have family in the Blackburn area of Lancashire and his family are also believed to have links to Northamptonshire and Lincoln.

Anyone who thinks they have seen Suren, or his parents, or has any information about their whereabouts, is urged to call Merseyside Police via the 101 number or the Missing People charity on 116 000.
