FIVE generations of an East Lancashire family turned out to celebrate a Burnley care home resident’s 100th birthday.
The Mayor of Burnley, Coun Andy Tatchell, joined 20 members of Alice Ashcroft’s family, including her four-year-old great grand-daughter, staff and residents of Palace House Care Home in Padiham Road.
Coun Tatchell presented Ms Ashcroft with a congratulatory letter from the Queen, and people at the party sang and danced along to live tribute performances of golden oldies.
