A CAR hit a tree after a two-vehicle crash in Accrington.

Emergency services were called to Paradise Street just after midnight.

Firefighters found two cars had collided, with one spinning round and hitting a tree.

Two people were in that vehicle and four people were in the second vehicle, which was badly damaged.

Paramedics checked everyone over at the scene and nobody was seriously injured.

Typical reporting here, nothing else mentioned about the tree. Was it badly damaged? will it survive? Can it press charges for assault?

I can just imagine the insurance claim forms - "I was driving along Paradise Street, Accrington, when all of a sudden, without any warning, a tree came out of nowhere. I beeped the horn but it was too late, the tree collided with my car causing me to spin round and another car collided with mine"

Ha!

I don't think they will put on the insurance claim, we was staging a whiplash claim and it went wrong.
