GREAT Harwood councillor Kerry Molineux praised the organisers of a record-breaking show in the town.
The 147th instalment of the popular Great Harwood Show, which was held last Monday, saw thousands descend on the town.
Coun Molineux said: “With beautiful sunshine it was a great day for the Great Harwood Show.
“Visitors from far and wide turned out to both take part and to spectate in all of the events that were arranged.
“The hard work by volunteers that goes into the planning and running of the agricultural show, which is firmly set in the Great Harwood calendar, is appreciated by all.”
The day featured a host of animals with awards handed out in categories including poultry, sheep, cattle and pigs.
The show also included a strong man competition, tug of war, ferret racing, dressage and dry stone walling demonstration.
