TWIN Valley Homes apprentice Kyle Catterall has bagged another award after winning a top prize at the Construction Development Alliance Awards.

Restoration man George Walker presented the 23-year-old, from Blackburn, with his Young Apprentice in Construction award, just weeks after winning the regional heat of the Skillsbuild competition.

It is the latest boost for the Together Housing Group apprenticeship programme, under which Twin Valley operates, which has been included in the nation’s top 100 apprentice employers, and boasts several award winners across all trades.

Alison Clews, Twin Valley Homes skills and enterprise co-ordinator, said: “Kyle never ceases to amaze us with the quality of his work, both in his day-to-day job and in competitions.

“He has taken the chance he was given in his apprenticeship with both hands, and he’s carved out a fantastic career for himself.

“It is a testament to all the mentors, training, and our programme as a whole, that we produce top-quality tradesmen and women, as well as office-based staff, throughout the organisation.

“We are extremely proud of Kyle, and he deserves all the plaudits he gets.”
