PUPILS were treated to a special whipround after achieving near- perfect attendance.
Children at Hapton Primary School received a special visit from the ice cream van after a week with 99.5per cent attendance.
Bursar Sheralyn Wheeler said the children were promised a special treat if the whole school were in attendance the whole week.
She said: “We came very close to 100per cent attendance, and the two children who were off had very extenuating circumstances. When the ice cream van came in their faces just lit up.”
