FUNDRAISER Jen Burnside wants to raise cash for the Lymphoma Association in memory of her dad by running six miles.

The 32-year-old will run the Great Manchester Run on Sunday in memory of dad Richard.

Mr Burnside died of non-Hodgkin lymphoma in January, 2011, a year after being diagnosed.

Jen said: “He was the most amazing dad anyone could ever want, his family were his world and he was so positive and enthusiastic about everything.

“I am so proud to be his daughter and am running the 10k in his honour, raising money to help the charity that provides information and support to people affected by lymphoma, as well as raising awareness of the disease.

“I have been running regularly with my neighbour to train for the Great Manchester Run and am looking forward to completing the run in memory of my dad.”

Lymphoma is the UK’s fifth most common cancer. Symptoms include painless lumps in the neck, armpit or groin, excessive sweating, persistent itching and tiredness.
