A DANCE student is celebrating her acceptance into a prestigious dance school.
St Bedes High pupil Lucy Holdsworth, 12, who is a student at Shadsworth Dance School, Blackburn, was delighted to hear about her acceptance to Chester’s Hammond Dance School.
Teacher Zoe Taylor said she was ‘incredibly proud’.
She said: “Lucy had done really well just to get an audition with Hammond’s — it is right up there with the Royal Ballet.
“To be accepted at this level is also impressive.
“The 12-15 year-old-level is very competitive because the children have been dancing for so long.
“We are so thrilled for her”.
Lucy will have two lessons a month with teachers who are former professional dancers at the Chester school, founded in 1917.
