THE Garrick theatre company has announced its line up for the 2014-15 season.

The Burnley-based society, which performs at the ACE Centre in Nelson will be hosting a preview night there for the new season on May 1, at 7.30pm.

On the bill are JB Priestley’s When We Are Married, Mary Rose – by Peter Pan author JM Barrie about a girl who vanishes not once, but twice, The Graduate – best known as the 1967 film starring Dustin Hoffman, Agatha Christie mystery And Then There Were None, and warm-hearted comedy Ladies Day by Amanda Whittington.

A spokesman said: “Come and hear the directors for next season talking about the plays they will be directing.

“If you are interested in playing for the Garrick, this is an ideal opportunity to learn more about the Garrick and the opportunities to take part in the most rewarding of hobbies.

“We would especially like to hear from anyone with an interest in the backstage activities, whether as stage manager, or assistance with props, wardrobe, sound, lighting or general administration. “All we ask for is enthusiasm and dedication. You can learn the skills with us if you feel you lack experience.”

The preview night will be followed with a reading and casting for When We Are Married on May 7 at the Haggate Rehearsal Rooms at 7.30pm. Call 01254 238937 for details.
