POPULAR computer game Minecraft is the hub of a free ‘tech camp’ this Easter at Darwen Aldridge Enterprise Studio.
The event is aimed at 11 to 16-year-olds who love digital technology and gaming.
Minecraft, where gamers create their own world using blocks of pixel, has a massive following among young people.
The tech camp will feature Minecraft at the centre of a series of digital and creative media activities including set design, screencasting, animation, storyboarding and film music.
Principal Ruth Bradbury said: “With the introduction of computer science into the national curriculum, plus our existing creative digital media pathway, which includes gaming design, we see this as a fun way of introducing young people to what the possibilities are in this field.
The event is on April 15 from 10am to 3pm.
People wishing to attend should register through the school website at www.daesudio.biz.
