AN ADVICE service is hoping to encourage hundreds of Lancashire families to foster a child.

The Fostering Network said latest figures show an urgent need for more foster families for teens, children with disabilities and sibling groups.

In the North West overall 1,200 foster families are needed.

The advice service is speaking out ahead of Foster Care Fortnight from May 12.
