A MOTORCYCLIST was warned about his riding by police yesterday.

A police spokesman said a section 59 order — described as ‘an ASBO for road users’ — was handed out on the M65 at around 8.30am.

The order is a warning placed against both a driver and their vehicle for 12 months if they are seen driving in a careless or inconsiderate manner.

A second order would result in the vehicle being seized.

The incident came around 12 hours after another motorcyclist suffered suspected broken bones after falling off his bike on the motorway near Accrington.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident, which led to the slip road being closed at junction seven, and police believe the biker may have crashed because of the rain.
