MENTAL health patients in East Lancashire are being urged to recognise those NHS workers who have made a difference to their care.
National charity Breakthrough has joined forces with Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust to launch the Positive Practice in Mental Health Awards.
They consist of 15 categories, including Innovative Practice, Integrating Physical and Mental Healthcare, and a Stamping out Stigma award.
Heather Tierney-Moore, chief executive at Lancashire Care, said: “It’s really important to recognise, and share, positive practice in mental health care in order to celebrate work that is being done well, and improve things that could be done better. I would encourage members of the public who have had a positive experience of the trust’s mental health services to make a nomination and celebrate positive practice in Lancashire.”
