POLICE were called after a car was seen driving along Blackburn Road, Accrington, with a sword allegedly being hung out of the window on Wednesday evening.
Blackburn magistrates heard two men were arrested but no sword was recovered.
Mohammed Saif, 20, of Lord Street, Brierfield, was sent in custody to Burnley Crown Court charged with possessing cannabis with intent to supply and possessing an offensive weapon, an extendable baton, in a public place.
Zafar Iqbal, 49, of College Street, Accrington, was sent on bail to the court charged with possessing cannabis and possessing an extendable baton in a public place.
