TWO people were rescued by firefighters after a fire broke out in a first floor flat.
Three crews attended the flat, in Quarry Farm Court, at around 9.10pm last night.
Police closed the road while firefighters rescued the pair, before tackling the blaze wearing breathing apparatus.
An investigation was launched into the fire's cause, and was continuing late last night.
A police officer at the scene was overheard saying the two rescued victims were 'okay', whilst a nearby resident said she had heard a man was taken to hospital.
