Foster care option before adoption in East Lancashire

Blackburn Citizen: Foster care option before adoption in East Lancashire Foster care option before adoption in East Lancashire

PEOPLE in East Lancashire are being urged to consider a new kind of adoption being pioneered in the county.

Lancashire County Council now offers concurrent planning, where adopters act as foster carers for a baby before formally adopting it.

Lancashire is the first council in the North West, and one of only a handful in the country, to use concurrent planning and so far a dozen babies have been placed through the programme, launched a year ago.

Catrina Dickens, who leads the project, said: “Sometimes babies come into our care at birth or soon after and they are looked after by foster carers while we work with their parents to see if they can go home.

“If this isn’t possible, the court process can take many months, and after that of course the baby has to move again, to his or her adoptive parents.

“Concurrent planning places a baby or very young child straight away with their prospective adopters, who are also approved to act as foster carers, while the birth family is assessed and the court makes a decision.”

So adopters look after the baby as a foster child that they are hoping to adopt. Fall in love with the child, sees the child as their own and then courts decide baby can go back to its birth mother or birth father or other member of birth family.
Sounds like a good idea if courts rule that baby can be adopted and sounds like a very cruel thing to put adopters through if baby returns to birth family.
Foster carers take on a child knowing and expecting that child to eventually move on. Adopters will hold on to hope each time ...
Will they be 'paid' like foster carers ... will that payment suddenly stop when adoption approved ... lots of un answered questions I feel ...

State Sponsored Kidnapping taken to the next level.

The truth about adoption is that there are no "Orphans" out there. Children have 2 parents, 4 grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins. When a child is ripped from their home, they are also ripped away from many family members on both sides who love them and are more than capable of taking care of them. The adopters can lie to themselves and say the child was was "chosen", but the child had no choice in the matter. 70% of all children taken from their parents are taken on the premise of "Risk of Future Emotional Abuse", the theory that something bad may (or equally may not) happen at some point in the future.

Can you imagine Police arresting and detaining youth because they may grow up to be bank robbers or murders? This is the Thought Police approach to Child Protection. The Social Scientists are practicing Eugenics under your nose and harming more children than they help.

A child in "Care" is statistically likely to have a bad outcome in life, 80% will have very poor outcomes and nearly all would have been better off left at home, even with supposedly "bad" parents, who may presumably emotionally damage them with emotional abuse at some point in the future.

What they don't tell you about adoption is that 1 in 4 relationships break down or "Disrupt" to use the sanitised term and the child is dumped back in "Care". Foster "Care" despite the good intentions of the Carers, damages children who suffer from PTSD at a rate 2 times higher than troops returning from Afghanistan and 4 times more severe. They miss they families and start acting out, even babies suffer from PTSD. PTSD is not an illness, it is an Injury caused to the child. The children are then given adult doses of Psychotropic Drugs, is it any wonder they end up being drug addicts, prostitutes, criminals or dead?
