strongman Mark Felix helped Clayton Park Bakery celebrate national pie week.

The world record holder for the deadlift and former British strongman champion from Rishton flexed his muscles and pulled two three-and-a-half tonne Clayton Park delivery vans across the company car park in Clayton-le-Moors.

The stunt helped the Rishton-based world strongman competitor warm up for the 2014 British Open Strongman Championships in Doncaster and the World Championships in Los Angeles later this month.

Mark, who tips the scales at around 23 stones, consumes 8,000 calories a day in training to maintain his strength and ‘fighting weight’ and so was only too happy to support national pie week.

Mark said: “When I’m in full training I burn a lot of calories and I do like a proper meat pie, so this will come in handy.”
