TORY minister Oliver Letwin visited Darwen as he helps put together the party’s manifesto for the coming election.

Minister for Police, Mr Letwin accompanied town MP Jake Berry on a visit to metal fabrication firm WEC, in Junction Street.

They were joined by group director Wayne Wild to talk about business, investments and apprenticeships.

Mr Letwin has been tasked by the Prime Minister to develop new policy for the Conservative manifesto.

Mr Berry said: “I was pleased to welcome Oliver to Darwen.

“It is important the views of businesses here in the North West are listened to.”

Mr Wild is fast becoming the face of the borough. I think he will need his own column on here soon, for all the stories he features in. At least he makes a change from the LET stories attacking the Police, NHS and Council.

That is ok by me at least he is employing people and creating wealth in our area and not taxing the rest of us to do it.

Oliver Letwin Seems like a nice Tory name. Funny how he met the plantation owners and not the works slaves. Like to see him visit the real people in Darwen and see what they could teach him. Never to ever vote Tory again perhaps.
