HEALTH chiefs in East Lancashire have set up a free website to offer extra support for those with mental health needs.
East Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group said the Big White Wall website will provide a safe and supportive online community to those who are feeling down.
It will include ‘Talkabouts’, where members can connect with others to share similar experiences, and creative art and writing therapies which can help to put difficult feelings into words.
Dr Mike Ions, chief clinical officer, said: “We are always looking for ways to reach those who are afraid to talk about their problems, and we felt Big White Wall could help. It offers people the benefit of being able to access safe, anonymous support to share what’s troubling them, whenever they need it.
“Improving access to mental health services is one of our key priorities.”
